I decided I needed to post a little daddy and son story. I left early in the morning to take care of some business and came back home around the time Ryan needed to go to preschool. My wife asked me to take him, which I was excited about because I am rarely around to take him to school. The preschool is across the street from us, so it is not a long walk. We arrived at the sidewalk going to the basement entrance along the side of the home, when Ryan informed me that I was not allowed to go down the steps with him. I asked him why to which he replied "because I'm embarrassed." "You're embarrassed to have me take you to preschool?" "Yes! I like mommy to take me to preschool." "Well, I'm at least going to walk you to the top of the steps and watch you go in to school to make sure you make it." I let go of his hand and said I love you. Have a good day at school. To which to said: Absolutely nothing, until he got to the bottom of the steps, turned around, looked at me and said: "Get out of here. Go to work or something." I always thought that your kids weren't embarrassed of you until they became teenagers. Today I learned otherwise.
Ha, Ha. I'm getting revenge on him tomorrow. He is getting his tonsils out and I haven't even told him yet. No wait, maybe that is a punishment to me. After the surgery, he's going to be a beast!!!
